Man With Burglary Tools Arrested Near Taylor Swift’s Beachfront Mansion

A man who was reportedly in possession of burglary tools has been held without bail after being arrested near Taylor Swift’s Rhode Island home.

The man, 32-year-old David Page Liddle, is awaiting a competency hearing after being deemed a flight risk.

He is charged with possession of burglary tools and possession of a weapon other than a firearm.

The Sun Of Westerly reports that he has previously been accused of stalking the singer.

Liddle had been held on a £10,000 bail after a previous arrest on July 19, not far from Taylor’s beachfront mansion.

Police Chief Shawn Lacey said Liddle told officers he was looking to “catch up” with Taylor and knew her personally.

The singer divides her time between Rhode Island and New York, while also spending time in the UK with boyfriend Joe Alwyn.

In December, the lengths Taylor goes to in order to ensure her own safety were revealed, when Rolling Stone reported that fans who attended her Reputation tour were unknowingly monitored by facial-recognition technology.

Images of the fans were sent to a “command post” in Nashville, where they were cross-referenced against a database that included hundreds of people who had stalked the singer in the past.
