The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ Halloween Week Song Choices Are In And We’re Suitably Excited

One of the highlights of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ every year is finally upon us – it’s Halloween week.

The contestants will be donning their best fancy dress to perform some seriously spook-tacular routines on Saturday night.

Stacey and Kevin will be dancing to the 'Doctor Who' theme

Among those we’re most looking forward to are Stacey Dooley’s Tango to the ‘Doctor Who’ theme tune, while there’s also an outing for Nicole Scherzinger’s oft-overlooked pop banger ‘Poison’, as Lauren Steadman takes on a Paso Doble set to the track.

Here’s a full rundown of what all the contestants will be dancing to this week…

  • Ashley and Pasha will be dancing the Charleston to ‘Witch Doctor’ by Don Lang
  • Lauren and AJ will be dancing the Paso Doble to ‘Poison’ by Nicole Scherzinger
  • Stacey and Kevin will be dancing the Tango to the ‘Doctor Who’ theme
  • Faye and Giovanni will be dancing a Couple’s Choice of Theatre and Jazz to ‘Fever’ by Peggy Lee
  • Kate and Aljaz will be dancing the Rumba to ‘Skin’ by Rag’n’Bone Man
  • Danny and Amy will be dancing the American Smooth to ‘Spirit In The Sky’ by Doctor and the Medics
  • Seann and Katya will be dancing the Viennese Waltz to ‘I Put A Spell On You’ to ‘Screamin’ by Jay Hawkins
  • Dr. Ranj and Janette will be dancing the Jive to ‘Monster Mash’ by Bobby Pickett
  • Charles and Karen will be dancing the Jive to ‘Time Warp’ by Richard O’Brien
  • Graeme and Oti will be dancing the Cha Cha to ‘Thriller’ by Michael Jackson
  • Joe and Dianne will be dancing the Foxtrot to ‘Youngblood’ by 5 Seconds of Summer

Last Saturday’s show saw Danny John-Jules top the leaderboard after an impressive Jive, which scored the first 10 of the series and a total of 37 out of 40 – the highest so far this series.

Charles Venn also rocketed up the leaderboard compared to previous weeks, with the first-ever Streetdance to feature on ‘Strictly’, which netted him 36 points.

It was bad news for Vick Hope though, who was eliminated after finding herself in the dance-off against Seann Walsh.

She later implied producers had influenced the judges’ decision to keep Seann and his partner Katya Jones in the competition.

However, the BBC later fiercely responded to her “categorically untrue” claims, insisting the result is always “based on its merits and in [the judges’] expert opinion alone”.

‘Strictly Come Dancing’ airs on Saturday at 6.50pm on BBC One.
