Brace yourself, Muggles – Boots is releasing an exclusive Harry Potter cosmetics collection and HuffPost UK has had an exclusive look.
The spellbinding collection includes a whole range of products from makeup to toiletries, including lipsticks that change colour and a Golden Snitch fizzy bath bomb.
It’s the first official cosmetic launch of its kind, in partnership with Warner Bros and Wizarding World, with the products available online and in store from Saturday 27 October – just in time to get your Halloween gladrags on or, if you’re lucky enough, hit up the Yule ball.
Boots has been teasing a Harry Potter launch for some time, with some 22,000 fans signing up to a waiting list to find out more (and counting).
HuffPost UK has seen a selection of the new products and are big fans of the Harry Potter eye mask (as you can tell, below), as well as the Swish and Flick makeup brushes – the handles are mini replicas of characters’ wands and the brushes are super soft to use. We also love the Golden Snitch bath bomb – which smells deliciously of lemon, melon and sandalwood, and transforms the bath into a magical glittering pool – it would make a great stocking filler for a budding Seeker.
We all know there are diehard Harry Potter fans of all ages and the collection seems wisely tailored to that – the Scabbers lip balm could make a great gift for a younger fan at £6, while the Swish and Flick makeup brushes would be better suited to an adult at £20.
The range comes at a mix of price points to accommodate different budgets, and shoppers can use Boots’ 3-for-2 Christmas gift mix and match to make items even cheaper.
Top tip: when it comes to the eyeshadow palettes, opt for what colour suits your skin tone or the person you’re buying for, rather than the house you feel most affiliated with – sadly, we can’t all pull of the Gryffindor shades.
Here’s the full collection.
Products launch at Boots stores and boots.com from 27 October. Sign up to the waiting list here to get a reminder when the products are released.
