A man has died and another is seriously injured after a stabbing in north-east London on Friday night.
Scotland Yard were called to the scene on Manford Way in Hainault at about 10.20pm.
One man, believed to be 23, was pronounced dead at the scene, while a second, thought to be aged 22, was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
The Metropolitan Police said a murder investigation had been launched and that no arrests had been made.
Meanwhile, a man thought to be in his 20s suffered gunshot injuries in a separate incident in Hackney on Friday night.
It is believed the man was shot at by two people on a moped, police said.
Officers and paramedics were called to the scene on Amhurst Road, near the junction with Downs Passage, at about 9.30pm.
The victim was taken to an east London hospital, and his condition was not believed to be life-threatening.
The incidents come amid heightened concern about rising levels of violent crime in the capital.
The total the number of homicides in London so far this year reached 100 last month.
