Cardi B Charged After Handing Herself Into Police Following Nightclub Fight

Cardi B has handed herself in to police, amid an investigation into a nightclub fight.

The New York Police Department confirmed the rapper has been charged with reckless endangerment and assault following the brawl, which took place at the Angels Strip Club in the city on 29 August.

However, there are conflicting reports about Cardi’s involvement after it was claimed two sisters working as bartenders were assaulted.

Her lawyer, Jeff Kern, told reporters outside the police station in Queen’s: “We are aware of no evidence that she caused anybody any harm from that night. We expect the matter to be resolved expeditiously.”

However a lawyer representing the bartenders claims the rapper ordered the attack.

Joe Tacopina, told People: “Cardi B ordered and committed violent assaults against my clients, and is being called to justice for her crimes.

“Apparently, she thinks her celebrity status puts her above the law, since she has bragged to multiple people and on social media that she orchestrated these vicious attacks.”

Cardi will appear in court on 29 October to face the charges.

The news comes after Cardi was involved in a physical altercation with Nicki Minaj at a New York Fashion Week party last month.

Cardi later claimed the fight broke out after Nicki made comments about her parenting.
