‘Toy Story 4’ Star Tim Allen Teases ‘Emotional’ Film, Revealing He Almost Didn’t Get Through Final Scenes

‘Toy Story’ star Tim Allen has teased that the fourth film will feature the franchise’s most emotional scenes yet.

While Disney has faced some criticism for commissioning another instalment after the third film wrapped up the story perfectly, Tim has promised it will have fans reaching for the tissues.

Speaking on ‘The Talk’ in the US, the actor, who voices Buzz Lightyear, said he even struggled to make it through the film due to all the feels it gave him.

Woody and Buzz Lightyear are back for 'Toy Story 4'

“I gotta resist getting emotional. I don’t want to give it away, but this is an incredibly great story,” he said.

“It is so emotional, it’s so funny, it’s so big, the idea they’ve come up with, I’m startled. I couldn’t even get through the last scene.”

However, Tim refused to be drawn on spoilers for ‘Toy Story 4’, which is due for release in 2019.

“I would love to be a Washington leaker. I just can’t do it. I can’t give any more away,” he said.

“They’ve got great characters but a couple of scenes toward the end were really hard to get through.”

‘Toy Story 4’ was originally due for release in 2017, but it was pushed back to next year after claims three quarters of the script was shelved.

The original film came out in 1995, with the first sequel following in 1999.

‘Toy Story 3’ then broke box office records when it was released in 2010, becoming the then highest-grossing animated film ever.

The premise of the fourth instalment sees Woody and Buzz set out to find Woody’s love interest, Bo Peep, who was given away prior to the third film.
