Lily Allen Claims She Was Sexually Assaulted By Music Industry Exec As She Slept

Lily Allen has claimed she was sexually assaulted by a music executive after she fell asleep in his hotel bed.

The singer alleges the industry figure assaulted her in his hotel room when she went back there after getting “smashed” at a party.

Speaking to the Guardian, Lily told of how she awoke at 5am to “feel someone pressing their naked body against my back”.

She then detailed the alleged assault further, stating: “I was naked, too. I could feel someone trying to put their penis inside my vagina and slapping my arse as if I were a stripper in a club.”

Lily claimed she jumped out of his bed “full of alarm” and left his hotel room.

“I expected him not to take advantage of my weakness. I felt betrayed. I felt shame. I felt anger. I felt confused,” she said.

Lily did not report the matter as she was left feeling like she blamed herself over the incident because she had been drinking, and would be seen as “difficult” and “hysterical” if she went to police.

“If things went down, I told myself, he’d win,” she said. “What was the crime? Record industry executive didn’t rape me. Was I supposed to report someone trying it on? (Answer: yes.)”

She told the Guardian she had wanted to name the man in her upcoming memoir, ‘My Thoughts Exactly’, but her legal advisers warned her against it.

Lily has previously spoken of her experiences with sexual harassment but this is the first time she has detailed a specific incident.

She recently said she did not think the Me Too movement had reached the music industry
