Aldi’s Launching A Cast-Iron Cookware Range To Rival Le Creuset

If your life’s ambition is to own a Le Creuset casserole dish but your finances won’t allow it, listen up. Aldi has launched a new cast iron cookware range which costs a fraction of the price and looks quite the part.

The brand says its new range, available in stores and online from 20 September, offers shoppers “hundreds of pounds on potential savings, compared to similar models from premium cookware brand Le Creuset”.

For example, where a cast iron Le Creuset shallow casserole dish would cost between £95-£275 (depending on size), Aldi’s version would set you back £24.99.

The new cast-iron range in all its glory.

Each item in the range is suitable for use with all heat sources including gas, electric, induction hobs and even solid fuel cookers. They can also be placed in the oven up to 200°C.

Cast iron cookware is valued for its durability and heat retention properties.

Aldi’s range features a selection of non-stick skillets, grill trays, frying pans, tagines, roasters, and casserole dishes – all of which can be bought in cream, grey or a vibrant red.
