A man in Texas got one hell of shock when his new credit card got delivered recently, only to find a close-up shot of his face plastered across it. (And no, he hadn’t expected it to turn out like that.)
Benjamin Urbina, from Pasadena, Texas, had been asked if we wanted a photo on his card when he ordered it, however he thought it would be a small thumbnail in the top left corner, similar to an old card he’d had.
But that’s not what happened at all. When he opened his post, he was shocked to find a huge photo of his face on his brand new credit card.
Who needs ID, eh?
His daughter Sandra shared photos of the hilarious fail on Twitter where it swiftly went viral, with 68,000 retweets at the time of writing.
She told HuffPost UK: “I got home from work and my mom was like, to me, ‘Sandra! Sandra! Look!’ and to my dad: ‘Show her!’ My dad took out his new card from his wallet and proceeded to show me.”
Her dad didn’t really think it was a big deal, but Sandra and her mum were in stitches thanks to the hilarious mix-up.
“My mom went ahead and told me what had happened, how my dad recently got a new credit card…and they told him he could put a picture on his card,” she explained.
“My dad, being new to this bank, thought that they would put a tiny corner picture like Bank of America does but when they mailed it to him it was his whole face on the card.”
So what does Benjamin think of his new card? “When he got it he was just confused and in shock, like ‘WHAT IS THIS?’,” Sandra recalled. “After my mother and I finished having a good laugh, he said: ‘I liked the one with the little horsies better’.”
