Sheridan Smith Takes Action After Discovering Fake Tinder Profile In Her Name

We’ve got disappointing news for anyone who recently matched with a certain British star of stage and screen on Tinder, as Sheridan Smith has revealed that someone has made a fake profile using her name and photos on the dating app.

According to The Sun, the fake profile featured six photos of Sheridan, along with the bio: “I like changing my hair colour, dogs, laughing and sleeping.”

The profile also listed her job as working at London’s Theatre Royal.

However, a representative for Sheridan has now set the record straight, telling The Sun: “I can confirm this is a fake account and I have reported it to be taken down.”

Sheridan has a busy few months ahead of her, as she gears up for her nationwide tour, which follows the release of her debut album at the end of last year.

The self-titled album featured covers of showtunes and pop songs, as well as Cilla Black’s ‘Anyone Who Had A Heart’, which she previously performed in the biopic ‘Cilla’.

The album’s release was also promoted by a one-off ITV special, which featured several live performances, as well as an interview with ‘Pointless’ presenter Alexander Armstrong.

It was also revealed last year that she would be returning to the acting world, following her success in ‘Cilla’ and ‘The Moorside’, in ‘Clean Break’.

In the ITV drama, set to air later in 2018, Sheridan will play Sam, a cleaner who gets involved in insider training to fuel her online gambling addiction, and winds up becoming caught between two very different worlds.
