Super Mum Performs A Random Act Of Kindness Every Day

HumanKind is a celebration of kindness. We want to tell the stories of people who have done incredible things for others or the planet. Find more uplifting stories from our HumanKind series here.

For the past two years, Dani Saveker has carried out a random act of kindness every single day, whether that’s buying daffodils for a stranger or leaving £5 in a coffee shop for someone to treat themselves.

The mum-of-three, who lives in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, says performing kind acts is now “a way of being”. Here she gives us an insight into a typical week.

:: Jenny Shaw, 30, on how the kindness of neighbours during a dark period of battling postnatal depression inspired her to give back to her community with care hampers.

:: Ged King who has given 1,200 free haircuts to homeless people and is set to do the same for refugees later this year.

:: Kiran Chahal who was inspired by her father’s devotion to Sikhism to tackle loneliness and food waste with a community supper club.

:: The group of kind strangers who crochet tiny octopuses to comfort premature babies in hospitals.

Do you know someone in the UK who’s done something incredible for another person? Maybe they dedicated hours to volunteering, changed someone’s life with a small but significant act, raised thousands of pounds for a good cause, or perhaps they went above and beyond to help in someone else’s time of crisis? Either way, we want to hear about them. Nominate your kind person or group here or email your personal story to natasha.hinde@huffpost.com.
