Every silk gown, velvet jacket and glittering cape worn at the 2018 Grammys deserved the attention and adoration their wearers received on social media.
But a handful of outfits stood out above others, not least for the way they stylishly incorporated a symbol of solidarity into their ensemble.
The white rose stood for “hope, peace, sympathy and resistance” and was spearheaded by a group called Voices in Entertainment, who were inspired by the Times Up movement’s stance against sexual harassment.
Take a look at our best dressed from this year’s Grammys:
Kesha
Kesha ensured all eyes were on the white rose embroidered on her lapel as she posed on the red carpet.
We also love her OTT rings. Too much is never enough.
The Pitch Perfect star rocked a grey tailored suit by Balmain and La Perla lingerie. Her rose was pinned on the lapel of her jacket.
Lady Gaga rocked the much-loved lace, nude and oversized skirt trends in one fierce ensemble. Sky scraper heels and a small pinned white rose completed the look.
Ne-Yo
Known for being quite the dapper gent, Ne-Yo made a bold statement by wearing his suit with this mustard yellow velvet dinner jacket.
He added a hat, a white rose and a dashing smile for effect.
Janelle Monáe
Janelle Monáe took the white rose one step further by having it embroidered into her fitted black jacket.
The rose was at home among a family of other floral motifs, brought in by a Victoriana blouse and bow tie.
Ryan Seacrest
Ryan Seacrest looked dashing in a printed dinner jacket, bow tie and specs to bring a measure of sophistication to the event.
Like Kendrick, the presenter-turned-mogul donned a small white rose on the lapel of his jacket.
