It’s been a good week for Emma Corrin.
Not only has she been nominated for a Golden Globe and a SAG Award for her portrayal of Princess Diana in The Crown, but she’s also set to star opposite Harry Styles.
Emma has signed up to play the singer’s on-screen wife in Amazon’s romantic drama, My Policeman.
The Amazon Studios production is based on Bethan Roberts’s 2012 novel of the same name.
The film’s plot centres around husband and wife, Marion and policeman Tom. Set along the Brighton coast in the 50s, after the pair meet and fall in love, Tom meets Patrick, a curator at the Brighton Museum, and the two men embark on a passionate affair – in spite of homosexuality being illegal at the time.
Fast forward to the ’90s, and the elderly and frail Patrick re-enters the lives of the now-married Marion and Tom, which triggers an exploration of events from 40 years previous.
Harry made his acting debut in the 2017 war film Dunkirk and is currently filming Olivia Wilde’s Don’t Worry Darling in the US. He will return to the UK when My Policeman begins shooting in April.
The role of Patrick, and who will play the older characters, has yet to be announced by Amazon.
