We can’t quite believe it, but this weekend the Super Bowl is set to go ahead in Tampa Bay, Florida.
Although the pandemic means things are going to be running a little differently to usual (the stadium will be at just under a third of its usual capacity, while masks will obviously be compulsory for both indoor and outdoor gatherings), one thing that’s staying the same is the deluge of high-budget ads set to air during the game.
And we think we already have our favourite.
Saturday Night Fever star John Travolta has teamed up with his 20-year-old daughter Ella to prove he still has the moves, in a new ad for ScottsMiracle-Gro.
In the clip – which also features the likes of Martha Stewart and Rocky actor Carl Weathers – John and Ella are seen performing a TikTok routine that includes some throwback moves to his big dance sequence in Grease.
“He’s still got it,” Martha Stewart observes after watching the pair dancing and, frankly, she’s not wrong.
Last year, John appeared alongside former Pulp Fiction co-star Samuel L Jackson as Santa Claus, in a Christmas advert for Capital One.
This also saw him throwing shapes, this time in a nod to his infamous Pulp Fiction scene.
This year’s Super Bowl will also feature adverts starring Dolly Parton, Mila Kunis and the reunited stars of Wayne’s World.
Meanwhile, music fans can look forward to a performance from chart-topping singer The Weeknd as he takes on the iconic Half-Time Show slot.
