Myleene Klass blacked out and dramatically banged her head during Dancing On Ice training, she has revealed.
The former Hear’Say singer fell into the ice and hit her head, after trying out a spin with professional partner Łukasz Różycki during rehearsals for the ITV skating show.
Speaking to The Sun, Myleene said the accident happened as she had been holding her breath due to fear, which is apparently bad for practice for skaters.
She said: “I have banged my head on the ice already. I didn’t realise that when you do the spins, you can have a mini blackout when you get dizzy.
“So we were doing a spin and when I watched the footage back, the next thing you see is a banged head. Wait until you see the footage – you won’t believe it.
“We were doing the rehearsals last week and I didn’t realise it was a blackout, as it’s a very weird feeling. You don’t realise it is happening.
“I hold my breath because I am so scared, but that’s not the right thing to do. I actually [fell over] while I was stationary. Yes, I can fall over from stationary.”
Myleene has also torn a cartilage in her knee and admitted she feels “embarrassed” by the injury because it is “not very sexy”.
She added to The Mirror: “I feel like a nana. It is very painful, but it’s just not very sexy when you say your knees have gone.”
Myleene is currently one of 12 celebrities taking part in the new series of Dancing On Ice, and will make her competitive debut on the ice this weekend.
Last week saw rapper Lady Leshurr becoming the first celebrity to land a place in the skate-off, despite finishing in joint first place on the leaderboard.
Six more stars will perform this weekend, after which the contestant with the lowest votes will compete against Lady Leshurr to keep their place in the show.
Dancing On Ice continues on Sunday night at 6pm on ITV.
