Jordan North’s encounter with snakes on last year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! was one of the most memorable Bushtucker Trials of the series (“HAPPYPLACEHAPPYPLACEHAPPYPLACE”), but it was a walk in the park (or castle grounds) compared to what has just happened on the Australian version of the show.
The new season of the reality series has just started airing Down Under, and things got off to a very bitey start for one of the Aussie stars taking part, after a terrifying encounter with some very angry snakes.
Toni Pearen, who is known to Aussies for presenting Australia’s Funniest Home Videos (so an Australian Harry Hill, basically) was taking part in a Bushtucker Trial when she came face-to-face with the reptiles.
The Jungle Trivia challenge saw the former soap star having to put her head inside a box filled with several jungle carpet pythons – and they didn’t come to play.
Although they are non-venomous to humans, within seconds of putting her head inside the box, one of them lunged at Toni’s face and bit her.
If that wasn’t shocking enough, the other snakes inside the box also had a go.
The clip (above) is not for the faint-hearted.
We’d take a sheep’s testicle to chow down on over this any day of the week.
