Disney+ Just Got Even Better With The Addition Of Classic Shows Like Desperate Housewives And Lost

With a back catalogue of Disney films and series, Star Wars sagas and every Simpsons episode ever, Disney+ already had quite the stack of content to keep us entertained – but it’s about to get even better.

The streaming service has revealed it is set to add thousands of hours of TV to its platform and double the content available, with the addition of classic shows like Desperate Housewives, Lost and 24.

Desperate Housewives

Disney+ is adding its Star strand of programming – comprised of shows produced by Disney Television Studios, FX, 20th Century Studios and 20th Television – to its roster next month.

This means that among the other classics streaming from 23 February will be comedies Black-ish, How I Met Your Mother and Atlanta, drama Prison Break, and sci-fi classic The X-Files, as well as films from the Die Hard movie franchise.

Lost

In addition, there will be some brand new original series too, including Big Sky, which is penned by the creator of Big Little Lies and The Undoing, David E Kelley, which tells the story of a search for two sisters after they are kidnapped.

Love Victor, a spin-off of the 2018 film Love Simon will also make its long-awaited debut, following a student at Creekwood High School on his own journey of self-discovery as he comes to terms with his sexual orientation.

Disney+ already streams content from six major brands, including Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, National Geographic and Disney itself.

Disney+ launched in the UK in March 2020 and the service has already amassed 86 million subscribers globally.
