RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 13 To Continue Airing On Netflix In The UK

RuPaul’s Drag Race fans can breathe a sigh of relief – the new series of the hit reality show will be available to watch on Netflix in the UK and Ireland the day after it airs in America, it’s been confirmed.

On New Year’s Day, the 13th season of Drag Race will launch in the US, in a special episode that will see all 13 of the new queens lip syncing for their lives.

While new episodes of Drag Race have been made available to watch on Netflix in the UK the morning after they’re shown in the US for the last few years, the streaming platform had not confirmed whether this would be the case for the new series – until now.

Quoting reigning champion Jaida Essence Hall, Netflix tweeted on Thursday morning: “LOOK OVER THERE… We can *finally* confirm that RuPaul’s Drag Race S13 starts on Netflix UK/IE this Saturday.”

While the regular US version of Drag Race will return to Netflix on Saturday 2 January, we’re also less than two weeks away from new episodes of the UK series.

Drag Race UK will launch on BBC Three on Thursday 14 January, with 12 British queens competing for the title of the UK’s next Drag Race superstar this time around.

Production on the second series of Drag Race UK was briefly put on ice earlier this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, but filming was eventually completed in the autumn, with RuPaul, Michelle Visage, Graham Norton and Alan Carr all back on the panel.
