Strictly Come Dancing Bosses Reveal What To Expect From This Year’s Final

Strictly Come Dancing bosses have teased what to expect from this year’s grand finale with the release of the songs and dances each of the couples will be performing to. 

Singer HRVY, EastEnders actor Maisie Smith, comedian Bill Bailey and reality star Jamie Laing will be battling it out to take home the Glitterball Trophy in Saturday’s live show.

Each of the finalists will perform three dances in a bid to win the BBC ballroom show – one dance picked by the judges, their own favourite dance of the series, and the famous Showdance.

Maisie Smith and Gorka Marquez

Maisie and partner Gorka Marquez will reprise their Samba to Gloria Estefan’s Samba (Conga) for their Judges’ Pick, while they will also perform their Quickstep to Andy Williams’ When You’re Smiling as their favourite dance. 

Their Showdance will see them dancing to Idina Menzel’s verison of We Need A Little Christmas.

Bill and partner Oti Mabuse will reprise their Quickstep to Talk To The Animals from the musical Doctor Dolittle for their Judges’ Pick, while they will also perform their Couple’s Choice Street routine to Rapper’s Delight by Sugarhill Gang as their favourite dance.

For their Showdance, they will perform to Queen’s The Show Must Go On.

HRVY and partner Janette Manrara will reprise their Jive to Stevie Wonder and Ariana Grande’s Faith for their Judges’ Pick, while they will also perform their American Smooth to One from the musical A Chorus Line as their favourite dance. 

Their Showdance will see them dancing to Brittany Murphy’s version of Boogie Wonderland from the film Happy Feet.

And after narrowly making the final, Jamie and partner Karen Hauer will reprise their Hercules-themed Charleston to Zero To Hero for their Judges’ Pick, while they will also perform their Couple’s Choice street routine to Gonna Make You Sweat by C+C Music Factory as their favourite dance. 

For their Showdance, they will perform to Elton John’s I’m Still Standing.

This year marks pro dancer Janette’s first time ever dancing in the Strictly final, while Oti could be on track to become the first pro to win two series in a row.

Last Sunday saw Good Morning Britain presenter Ranvir Singh and partner Giovanni Pernice fall at the last hurdle in the semi-final.
