Russell Watson and Jessica Plummer have become the latest stars to leave the I’m A Celebrity castle after a double elimination.
The opera singer and former EastEnders star finished in seventh and sixth place respectively as they were shown the door during Tuesday night’s episode of the ITV reality show.
The pair admitted they had “mixed emotions” to be leaving ahead of the final on Friday.
Russell, who was a late entrant into the castle, admitted he felt “emotional” watching his highlights from his time on the show.
He said: “It just reminded me of what a good time we had there… I wasn’t sure, it is difficult going in later because everyone else has a relationship.
“I’d like to think [my singing] kept morale up. Like I said on there, I don’t need any encouragement, I’ll sing at every opportunity I can get.”
Jessica also discussed how she hit a turning point after taking part in the Sickening Stalls Bushtucker Trial.
“Going back to camp and being able to announce with Shane that we had got 12 stars, I feel like I’ve checked off such a big tick box on my bucket list,” she said.
“To be able to do that for camp and my own personal self. I was very sick but it was worth it.”
There are now six campmates left in the castle, following the previous eliminations of Hollie Arnold, Ruthie Henshall, Beverley Callard and Victoria Derbyshire.
I’m A Celebrity continues on Wednesday at 9pm on ITV.
