With his back catalogue of Accidental Partridges and memorable TV moments, you probably thought there could only be one Richard Madeley.
Seemingly not.
Fans have spotted that the former This Morning presenter has a look-a-like in the form of football boss Jesus Garcia Pitarch.
Richard began trending on Twitter on Tuesday following the news Pitarch –commonly known as Suso – is leaving his role as Aston Villa’s sporting director.
And after seeing the two side by side, we have to say the likeness is uncanny…
Twitter certainly had a lot of fun with it…
Suso is leaving Aston Villa after less than two years in the role as sporting director, following criticism about the club’s recruitment strategy.
Last summer saw a number of arrivals, with more than £120 million spent, with Suso’s transfers including forward Wesley from Club Brugge for £22m, while £11.5m was spent on left-back Matt Targett from Southampton.
However, as recently as 12 July, Villa were seven points adrift of 17th place in the Premier League, which they were promoted to in 2019.
Suso has now paid the price for a tough first season back in the league and the club will look to improve their recruitment strategy ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
An official club statement read: “The board would like to thank Suso for his hard work in restructuring the playing squad after the change of ownership in 2018, and for setting in place foundations for future success including the reorganisation of our academy.”
