David and Victoria Beckham marked their 21st wedding anniversary with a string of throwback photos.
On Saturday, David posted a montage of pictures from throughout their relationship on Instagram, including candid shots of themselves and their four children, accompanied by the Spice Girls classic Say You’ll Be There.
“About 23 years ago I was sat in a room with Gary Neville and the Spice Girls were on the TV and I turned around to him and said ‘ohhhh I like that one in the little black catsuit’,” he wrote, referring to Victoria’s appearance in the music video.
“Who would have thought that all these years later we are celebrating 21 years of marriage and have 4 of the most beautiful and perfect kids. Thank you & Happy Anniversary, I Love You.”
David also re-shared a message from Gary Neville accompanied by a photo of them from the wedding day, which read: “She swiped right! Happy anniversary, congratulations and [love] you both.”
Victoria then wished David a happy anniversary, saying: “I can’t believe it has been 21 years since we said ‘I do’. Four children, four dogs, so much laughter and I love you more each day.”
Earlier this year, David revealed he’d held onto an adorable memento from the first time he met Victoria, when she travelled up to see him playing football in Manchester.
“She’d had a couple of drinks so I decided why not, I’ll try and get her number,” he joked.
“We talked for about an hour in the players’ lounge. She actually got the train up that day so she wrote her number down on her train ticket, which I still have.”
The pair eventually tied the knot in 1999, and have four children together, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper.
