Many of us have decided to finally get round to tackling those DIY jobs we’ve been putting off forever whilst in lockdown. But if you’ve been beaming with pride at your (wonky) shelf, then prepare to have your ego dented a little bit.

And your mind blown.

The collective jaws of viewers watching George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces hit the floor during Wednesday night’s episode, when one particularly ingenious couple rewrote the DIY rulebook with an incredible space-saving bathroom.

Guy and Tracey tasked themselves with transforming an old bakehouse, which featured lots of tricks, but the pièce de résistance was a bathroom that magically appeared at the pull of a handle in the kitchen.

After watching the video ten times, we’re still trying to figure it all out…

Seeeeee? Nope, us neither. Let’s just call it wizardry (well, there is also a dragon on the couple’s outside wall that breathes fire when you ring the doorbell).

Host and architect George was equally impressed, telling the couple: “I’ve been lucky enough to see some staggeringly brilliant things on Amazing Spaces.

“This would be in my top five. It would even be in my top three.”

George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces airs Wednesdays at 9pm on Channel 4.
