Boris Johnson’s car was left with a huge dent after being hit by a police car in Westminster on Wednesday.
The prime minister’s convoy was targeted by a protester as it left the gates of parliament following PMQs.
A No.10 spokesperson said Johnson was in the car at the time but there were “no reports of anybody being injured”.
Johnson’s silver Jaguar was forced to stop, with an escorting vehicle running into the back of it in what appeared to be a minor collision.
A video taken at the scene showed the PM’s car being hit by a police Range Rover travelling behind it.
The protester, who had been demonstrating about Turkey’s operation against Kurdish rebels in northern Iraq, was detained after running in front of the PM’s car.
He was taken into the Palace of Westminster by police officers and did not appear to have been injured in the collision.
