13-Year-Old Boy Pleads Guilty To Assaulting Two Police Officers In Hackney

A 13-year-old boy has admitted to assaulting two police officers during a group attack in east London.

Prosecutor Varinder Hayre said the youth had admitted to “kicking” and had been “shouting abuse” at the officers during an “unprovoked, deliberate” attack, PA Media reports.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to two charges of assault on an emergency worker at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

Footage of the incident on Frampton Park Road in Hackney on Wednesday was posted on social media and shows an officer on the ground grappling with a male.

He is then kicked, while his female colleague is pushed when she tries to intervene.

District judge Jonathan Radway sent the case to Stratford Youth Court for sentencing on July 8.

Three men were also set to appear in court on Friday over the incident.

Paul Kabemba, 33, of Morning Lane, Hackney, has been charged with one count of assault and one count of assault on an emergency worker.

Jordan Thomas, 20, of Woolridge Way, Hackney, and Marvin Henderson, 34, of Frampton Park Road, Hackney, have also been charged with two counts of assault on an emergency worker.
