Listen, we know it’s not big or clever to laugh at people falling over, but sometimes it sure is funny – as showcased on Sunday Brunch.
Presenter Tim Lovejoy had a spectacular tumble as he opened Sunday’s episode with co-host Simon Rimmer.
Right at the top of the show, Tim was clearly very excited to be on air, adding in a some little bounces as he introduced himself.
But Tim awkwardly stumbled as he landed, and was soon sent crashing into the back of the set.
And because of social distancing, a helpless Simon remarked: “I can’t even help you up!”
“Why is everyone laughing?” Tim joked. “It really hurt!”
He later said: “I’m in a little bit of pain, not a lot, but everyone is laughing in my ear. That is disrespectful!”
Sunday Brunch’s official Twitter account later confirmed Tim was OK following his tumble.
Sunday Brunch recently resumed filming in the studio, after the presenters were initially forced to do the show from their homes during lockdown.
Social distancing measures were later put in place to allow them to safely make the show from London’s Television Centre featuring the usual mix of cooking, music and celebrity chat.
Sunday Brunch airs Sundays at 9.30am on Channel 4.
