Twilight actor Gregory Tyree Boyce has been found dead at his home in Las Vegas, at the age of 30.
Gregory and his girlfriend Natalie Adepoju, who was 27, died together on 13 May, as confirmed by the Las Vegas Medical Examiner’s office. No cause of death has been given.
A statement from Gregory’s family has been issued to TMZ, which said: “We as family of Gregory Boyce are very saddened by our loss. He was a dad, son, grandson, brother, uncle, and friend.
“He was the light of all our lives and we are very saddened by his death.”
The actor was best known for his role in the first film in the Twilight series, in which he played Bella Swan’s classmate, Tyler Crowley.
Tyler was the driver of the van that almost hits Bella (Kristen Stewart), only for her to be saved by Edward (Robert Pattinson), who can sense when she’s in danger.
Following the incident, his character becomes determined to win over Bella and invite her to the prom, which irks both Edward and Lauren Mallory, played by Anna Kendrick.
Gregory’s family also told TMZ: “The Gregory we knew was intimate with the world and a good person.
“He was a very respectful and responsible man. He always put others first. The family would like to ask for our privacy as we mourn our losses and thank you for your well wishes.”
A GoFundMe page has also been set up by Natalie’s family to cover funeral costs, in which they say: “We are writing this letter to let you know that our loving daughter, niece, sister, cousin, and friend Natalie Adepoju suddenly passed away on May 13, 2020 in Las Vegas, NV…
“Natalie had so much life to live, we are saddened that her life was cut short.”
