Cara Delevingne has jumped to the defence of ex-girlfriend Ashley Benson, following reports she had been seen kissing rapper G-Eazy.
Last month, various media outlets claimed that Cara and the former Pretty Little Liars star had called time on their relationship, after two years together.
Since then, Ashley was photographed in Los Angeles with G-Eazy, and were seemingly seen kissing on Thursday.
However, Cara has now shared a post on her Instagram story sticking up for her famous ex, insisting there were no hard feelings between them.
“It’s more important now than ever to spread love, not hate,” the supermodel wrote. “To everyone hating on [Ashley] please stop. You don’t know the truth, only her and I do and that’s exactly how it should be.”
Ashley then reposted the statement to her own Instagram statement.
Last year, it was heavily rumoured that Cara and Ashley had tied the knot in Las Vegas, though it later emerged that this was not the case.
They began dating around two years ago, with Cara thanking her then-girlfriend in a speech after receiving an award from the Trevor Project last year.
“[I have] another very special woman in this room to thank and you know who you are,” Cara said at the time. “She’s one of the people who helped me love myself when I needed it most and I really needed it.
“She showed me what real love is and how to accept it, which is a lot harder than I thought.”
Cara was previously in a year-long relationship with singer-songwriter Annie Clark, better known by her stage name St Vincent.
The romance is thought to have inspired numerous songs on the most recent St Vincent album, Masseduction, with Cara even providing backing vocals on some tracks.
