Rylan Clark-Neal Reveals Hillary Clinton Wanted Him To Be Her Personal Aide

Rylan Clark-Neal is not exactly short of work at the moment, but if the TV and radio jobs ever dry up, we could see him in an altogether different role.

The presenter has revealed that none other than Hillary Clinton once asked him to be her right hand man.

Yes, you did read that correctly.

Rylan made the shock revelation about the former First Lady and US presidential candidate during a chart with comic Katherine Ryan on his BBC Radio 2 radio show.

The 31-year-old star said Hillary made him a job offer when they met while he was working on ITV’s This Morning.

He explained: “You know Hillary Clinton actually offered me a job once … As in, like, genuinely.

“It was was when I worked on This Morning, we used to do this thing called The Hub, which is where I was just off the side of the set with a big screen doing viewer comments and I called her Hills babe, and then everyone went mad because they were like, ‘This could be the next president’.

“Anyway, we had a lovely chat and she was like, ‘I’d love you to be my personal aide’,” he continued. “So if it all goes wrong, I swear!”

When asked if he considered taking the job, he replied: “I didn’t, but I did say to her – and I won’t say the exact words I said to her because it’s not BBC Radio 2 friendly – I said, ‘Hillary, if I say a certain swear word on daytime TV and lose all my jobs, I’ll give you a ring’.”

Katherine told Rylan she would “never, never see you as anyone’s personal aide, not the president of America, no-one, you know, so actually that was an insult”.

She added: “Hills can be your personal aide.”

Rylan is a keen follower of the political world, but his regular tweets on the likes of Brexit (remember that?) have been the butt of jokes from some users of the social media site.

He previously hit back at “snobby-arsed” critics of his political commentary, insisting he is informing his followers who “might not necessarily understand Brexit”.

He then faced further criticism when he was then announced as the host of Channel 4′s election night coverage.
