When the government asked doctors who had retired from the NHS or who had moved into private practice to return to help tackle the coronavirus pandemic, Dr Tijion Esho knew what he had to do. Only a week earlier, Esho had watched his own son go on to ventilators in ICU, in what ended up being influenza. He knew the NHS would need all the help it could get, so he closed the doors of his successful private practice to rejoin the NHS.
