Hollywood actor Gal Gadot enlisted a host of famous faces to try and help spread a bit of joy in these coronavirus times with a cover of John Lennon’s Imagine.

Stars including Natalie Portman and Jamie Dornan attempted to lift spirits with a sing-a-long of the 1971 classic on Instagram.

In a video that has now been viewed more than 2 million times, Wonder Woman star Gal explains she has been in isolation for six days and the global pandemic has left her feeling “philosophical”.

Gal explained that she had been inspired by a viral video from Italy – which is in lockdown amid the outbreak of the virus – of a man playing Imagine on his trumpet while quarantined neighbours join in from their homes.

She then sang the opening lines to Imagine, before a host of other celebrities then took it in turns to sing portions of the song.

As well as Oscar-winning actress Natalie Portman and 50 Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan, they include singer Sia, model Cara Delevingne, actor Will Ferrell, US chat show host Jimmy Fallon, singer Labrinth and Bridesmaids stars Maya Rudolph and Chris O’Dowd.

Gal also managed to enlist her Wonder Woman predecessor, Lynda Carter.

Other names included Pedro Pascal, Zoe Kravitz, Leslie Odom Jr, Eddie Benjamin, Ashley Benson, Norah Jones, Kaia Gerber and Annie Mumolo.

Gal captioned the post: “We are in this together, we will get through it together.

“Let’s imagine together. Sing with us. All love to you, from me and my dear friends.”
