After getting the news his partner had a ‘missed’ miscarriage (when the baby has died but there are no miscarriage symptoms) David did what he thought men were supposed to do – suck it up and be the ‘man’ of the family. But after a few months he realised he needed to mourn and talk about his loss and by opening up to friends and dealing with the tragedy it helped not just himself, but his partner and his three-year-old daughter too.
