Sex And The City Actress Lynn Cohen Has Died, Aged 86

Sex and the City actress Lynn Cohen has died at the age of 86.

The Broadway veteran played Miranda’s nanny, Magda, in the US series up until it ended in 2004.

Her co-star Willie Garson, who played Stanford, was one of the first to pay tribute on Twitter.

“Bless you and godspeed, our wonderful Magda for 15 years of episodes and films, thanks for your friendship and amazing talent….R.I.P. indeed #LynnCohen,” he wrote.

Talking about her time on the series in 2016, Lynn told the Miami Herald: “The show itself was a very special, unique experience, shot more like a film than a television program.

“In any case, I loved it. And my doorman in New York City is still obsessed with Sarah Jessica Parker. He always asks me about her.”

As well as Sex And The City, Lynn also appeared as Mags in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire as well as scoring roles in Woody Allen’s 1993 hit, Manhattan Murder Mystery and Steven Spielberg’s Munich.

Other TV appearances included The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Nurse Jackie.

On Broadway she appeared in Orpheus Descending and Ivanov.

She also performed as a voice actor, most notably in the hit video game Red Dead Redemption.
