Kelvin Fletcher Addresses Marriage Speculation After Wife Is Pictured Without Wedding Ring

Strictly Come Dancing winner Kelvin Fletcher has spoken out amid tabloid speculation over his marriage to his wife of four years, Eliza Marsland.

Last week, the former Emmerdale star was photographed going for drinks with his former Strictly partner Oti Mabuse, and in the days that followed, Eliza was pictured not wearing her wedding ring.

Many media outlets were quick to piece the two things together, with Kelvin admitting he’s a little “bewildered” by all the scrutiny his relationship is facing.

He’s also insisted that “everything” in his relationship remains “amazing”.

“I am just a little bit bewildered by all the attention,” he told The Sun. “But I am sure it will all blow over.”

Earlier this week, Eliza maintained there was “no drama” with regards to her marriage, and that she simply wasn’t wearing her wedding ring because it is “heavy”.

“That ring is heavy. It only comes out on special occasions. Oh, and it was fake tan day. #Nodramahere,” she wrote in a post on her Instagram story.

Kelvin and Eliza married in 2015, and have two children together, three-year-old Marnie and one-year-old Milo.

He landed Oti her first ever Strictly Come Dancing win in December last year, having only been invited to take part in the show as a last-minute replacement for reality star Jamie Laing.

Following his win, Kelvin thanked Oti for “the most amazing experience of my life,” saying: “I think this show represents everything that is amazing with this country, I think the people personify what is great and it’s just been an absolute privilege.”

Oti, who is married to Romanian dancer Marius Lepure, told him: “I’ve been on this show for five years and I have never ever met any celeb who gives his heart, his soul… for me that is the best gift and the best ending to my year.”

Since bagging the Glitterball Trophy, Kelvin has been on the road on the Strictly tour, where he was partnered with Janette Manrara, while Oti filmed the BBC One series The Greatest Dancer.
