Ant McPartlin’s ex-wife Lisa Armstrong has hit back at claims that she has been given more than half of his fortune after receiving a settlement in their divorce.
On Wednesday night, it was reported that the former couple had finally reached an agreement in their divorce proceedings, with The Sun claiming she would receive £31 million.
The tabloid claimed that the amount was “one of the biggest celebrity divorce settlements in British history”, claiming Lisa – who works as a make-up artist Strictly Come Dancing – was about to become “one of the richest women in the country”.
However, she has now shot down the reports, and even suggested that she was planning to take legal action.
When one fan on Twitter responded to The Sun’s article by telling Lisa the settlement was “more than well deserved”, she responded: “Nope a load of nonsense AGAIN… you’ll be hearing from my lawyers AGAIN…”
Lisa then quote-tweeted an article by the Daily Star suggesting she’d “denied she is getting £31m in divorce settlement”.
“I deny it cos it’s not true…” she wrote back.
Ant and Lisa were married for 11 years before they announced their split in 2018.
Since the split, he has entered a relationship with his personal assistant, Anne-Marie Corbett.
In an interview last year, Ant credited his new girlfriend with helping him turn around, following his arrest for drink-driving.
He said: “She honestly is the fundamental reason for the great change in my life. She’s been my rock. She’s a beautiful soul. We’re very happy.
“I’m in the best place I’ve been in my life, to be honest with you. It’s great.”
