The first Sunday of the year is always a big deal in the world of showbiz, because it marks the beginning of awards season with the arrival of the Golden Globes.

Unlike other awards shows like the Oscars or Baftas, the Golden Globes gives out to awards to the most celebrated stars from both the big and small screen, meaning the guest list is always especially A-list.

This year was another typically star-studded bash, the usual Hollywood stars rubbing shoulders with a few of our British faves.

Among the top nominees on the night was The Crown, with leading lady Olivia Colman taking home her third Golden Globe for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II, and looking totally regal on the red carpet too.

Elsewhere, Fleabag was another of the night’s top winners, with Phoebe Waller-Bridge also dressing to impress, while Once Upon A Time In Hollywood took home the most awards on the night, with its top names Leonardo Di Caprio, Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie all in attendance.

Aside from the aforementioned, other big British stars who put in appearances included Kit Harington (the sole nominee from the divisive final series of Game Of Thrones) and Killing Eve star Jodie Comer.

Rocketman actor Taron Egerton and Cynthia Erivo – who has won huge critical acclaim for her performance in the recent Harriet Tubman biopic – were also among the attendees, with the former scooping his first ever Golden Globe for his portrayal of Elton John.
