Duvet Know It’s Christmas Is Back With People Sharing Hilarious Festive Sleeping Arrangements

Duvet Know It's Christmas is here!

Every year on Christmas Eve, people head to their family homes and rush to take photos of their festive bedroom arrangements, as it becomes vastly apparent there’s not really anywhere appropriate for them to sleep

The hashtag #DuvetKnowItsChristmas has become synonymous with the Christmas period, to the point where some look forward to the social media posts more than the festive ritual itself.

This guy knows.

As is tradition, people share them on Twitter with writer and journalist Rhodri Marsden (@Rhodri), who often retweets some of the best ones.

So whether you’re camped under the stairs, or in the back bedroom along with your dad’s carefully curated collection of Star Wars figurines, just know that you’re not alone.

Here are some of this year’s best contenders so far. (And don’t forget to post your own with the hashtag, too!)

The One Attached To The Office

When Jon gets out of bed, he can file the fourth quarter sales report. Nothing screams Christmas quite like spreadsheets.

The One With The ‘Basic Bitch Mattress’

No clean bedding for Jessica this year. Apparently this is what you get when you don’t tidy your room.

The One With Cartoon Bedding

Ah, it wouldn’t be Christmas without the cartoon bedding set being dusted off for relatives. This one comes complete with a neighbour’s cat.

The One In The Outdoor Playhouse

All we want to know is: where’s the roof?!

The One In The Spare-Room-Turned-Garage

Ah a camp bed classic. Looks cosy.

The One Under The Bed.

Yes really.

The One With An Audience

Everywhere you turn there is junk. Interesting large-headed figurine collection, too.

The One In The Georgian Doll’s House

Those lamps.

The One Next To A Couple Of Bikes

Don’t you just love the smell of oil in the morning?

The One On The Sofa

Practically luxury compared to the rest of them. So much room for activities!

The One With The Assassin Plant

Roll over at your peril.

The One With The Ghost Of Christmas Past

Yes that appears to be a floating maid’s outfit.

As with last year, people are urged to donate to the charity Shelter when they share their annual bedroom snaps – it’s Christmas, the time for giving, after all.

Rhodri will be sharing the best photos from 9pm tonight, so stay tuned! Merry Christmas, everyone.
