Scarlett Moffatt Leaves Ant And Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway After Two Series

Scarlett Moffatt will not be returning to Ant And Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, ITV has confirmed.

The former Gogglebox star joined SNT in 2017, a few months after she was crowned I’m A Celebrity’s Queen of the Jungle.

She said at the time: “I’ve watched Saturday Night Takeaway with my family for as long as I can remember, I’m such a huge fan, so to be part of one of the biggest entertainment shows out there, with two of my all-time TV heroes Ant and Dec, is an absolute dream.”

However, an ITV representative has confirmed she won’t be back when Saturday Night Takeaway returns after a year off in 2020.

They explained: “Scarlett Moffatt won’t feature as a contributor in the 2020 series of Saturday Night Takeaway.

“We thank Scarlett for all of her hard work on the show and will announce details of the new series nearer transmission.”

Scarlett is yet to comment on the news herself.

During her tenure on I’m A Celebrity, she and co-presenter Stephen Mulhern served as correspondents, and had an increased role during episodes when Declan Donnelly briefly presented the show solo.

Earlier this year, it was also revealed that Scarlett would not be returning to I’m A Celebrity spin-off Extra Camp, which is now presented by her former campmate Joel Dommett alongside Emily Atack and Adam Thomas.

Scarlett currently presents the BBC’s official RuPaul’s Drag Race UK podcast, and recently appeared in the divisive documentary The British Tribe Next Door.

She’s also a team captain on the ITV2 panel show CelebAbility, hosted by comedian and Love Island narrator Iain Stirling.
