Piers Morgan Tells Adil Ray He ‘Won’t Be Filling In’ On Good Morning Britain Again

Piers Morgan is clearly in no mood to forgive and forget when it comes to his fellow Good Morning Britain presenter Adil Ray.

Over the weekend, the two exchanged words, after Adil suggested “the best thing about standing in for Piers Morgan is that you don’t have to meet Piers Morgan” during an appearance on Have I Got News For You.

At the time, Piers retaliated by saying that Adil “always tanks the ratings”, and was clearly still holding a grudge during Tuesday morning’s live show.

Adil Ray apparently stands in for me, some comedian guy. He won’t be filling in again, sunshine,” Piers said. “No more Adil Ray, see if he laughs at that.”

However, Susanna Reid – who co-hosts with Adil when Piers is absent – was quick to dismiss the suggestion that the presenter had that kind of power.

She responded: “Piers Morgan, we have to have other presenters because you only do five minutes, three days a week. We have to have people on Thursdays and Fridays.

“Adil, you’re a very welcome addition to the programme. We like you.”

But Adil wouldn’t be the first person that Piers had thrown his toys out of the pram over and had banned from appearing on GMB.

In the past, he’s told both singer Lily Allen and journalist Owen Jones that they aren’t welcome on the ITV daytime show, after criticising him on social media.

More recently, the divisive anchor also claimed that TV presenter Les Dennis is also “banned” from the show, after saying he wouldn’t want to appear on GMB on a day when Piers was presenting.

Good Morning Britain airs every weekday from 6am on ITV.
