Strictly Come Dancing Week 2 Song Choices Revealed

While we’ve still not had chance to catch our breath after Kelvin Fletcher’s stunning Samba, it’s already time to turn our attention to this week’s Strictly Come Dancing, as the latest song and dance choices have been revealed.

Among the songs the contestants will be performing to include 90s favourites from Whitney Houston and Gloria Estefan, classics from Frank Sinatra and Burt Bacharach and more modern tracks from David Guetta and Jess Glynne.

None of the contestants want to be the first to leave Strictly Come Dancing

And after wowing Strictly fans with his impressive Latin moves, Kelvin and his professional partner Oti Mabuse will be trying their hands at ballroom, as they perform a Waltz.

Here’s the full list of what to expect this week…

  • Anneka and Kevin: Waltz to Run to You by Whitney Houston
  • Alex and Neil: Cha Cha to What I Did For Love by David Guetta feat. Emeli Sande
  • Catherine and Johannes: Samba to Let the Groove Get In by Justin Timberlake
  • Emma and Anton: Foxtrot to Sunshine of Your Love by Ella Fitzgerald, Ernie Heckscher Big Band and Tommy Flanagan
  • Emma and Aljaž: Tango to Sucker by Jonas Brothers
  • Michelle and Giovanni: Viennese Waltz to That’s Amore by Dean Martin
  • Saffron and AJ: Cha Cha to One Touch by Jess Glynne and Jax Jones
  • Chris and Karen: Charleston to Out of Our Heads by Take That
  • David and Nadiya: Paso Doble to España cañí
  • Dev and Dianne: Jive to Dance With Me Tonight by Olly Murs
  • James and Luba: Jive to Tutti Frutti by Little Richard
  • Karim and Amy: Foxtrot to The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra
  • Kelvin and Oti: Waltz to What the World Needs Now by Burt Bacharach
  • Mike and Katya: American Smooth to Rhinestone Cowboy by Glen Campbell
  • Will and Janette: Salsa to 1-2-3 by Gloria Estefan

Of course, all 15 celebrities will be hoping their performance will be enough to save them from the first elimination.

Their scores from last Saturday will be carried over and combined with their marks from this week, as well as the result of the public vote, with two couples landing in the first dance off of the series.

As things currently stand, it’s not looking great for either James Cracknell or Chris Ramsey, who earned just 11 and 13 points respectively for their first dance.

All eyes were on Kelvin Fletcher and Oti Mabuse as they dominated the dance floor with their Samba

At the other end of the leaderboard, Kelvin’s Samba bagged him an impressive 32 points out of a possible 40, while Karim Zeroual’s first routine was awarded 31.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 6.40pm on BBC One.
