Kentish Town Murder: Man In His 20s Shot Dead In North London

A murder investigation has been launched following a shooting in north London.

Police were called to reports of a shooting on Malden Road, Kentish Town, on Sunday evening.

A man, believed to be aged in his 20s, was found by officers and the London Ambulance Service suffering a gunshot injury and was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after midnight on Monday.

His next of kin are yet to be informed and formal identification has not yet taken place, as a post-mortem examination is due to scheduled.

There have been no arrests, so far.

The Metropolitan Police is appealing for witnesses to contact them via 101 quoting reference Cad 8502/08Sep.

This comes just hours after a man was shot dead in broad daylight in south London.

The victim, also aged in his 20s, was discovered with gunshot wounds and he died at scene at 3:50pm on Sunday afternoon.

Some witnesses in the area said they had heard reports the man had accidentally shot himself.

A 56-year-old woman living on Venner Road said: “He came to shoot someone else, but he ended up shooting himself.

“The bullet bounced off a car window. You can see on the car window where the bullet bounced off it.

“After it happened, the boy he came to shoot stood there filming him.”
