Owen Jones Attack: Three Men Arrested In Connection With Attack On Journalist

Three men have been arrested in connection with an attack on journalist Owen Jones.

The Guardian columnist was out celebrating his birthday with friends when set upon in what he described as a “blatant premeditated assault.”

The attack happened at around 2am on August 17 outside a pub on Pentonville Road.

Jones was assaulted by four male suspects and his friends were also attacked as they tried to intervene.

Three men aged 39, 34 and 29 were arrested on Thursday after they attended a north London police station.

They were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and assault occasioning actual bodily harm and remain in custody.
