You know when you have two good friends that you almost don’t want to introduce to one another because you know they’d get along almost a little too well?
Well, the celebrity version of that took place backstage during the VMAs on Monday night, when two of our current faves – Game Of Thrones star Sophie Turner and Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness – came face to face for the first time.
Thankfully, their extremely loud first meeting was captured on camera by Entertainment Tonight, who posted the footage on their Twitter page.
Amid much shrieking from both Sophie and Jonathan, he was heard declaring: “You know my name! I love you so much, oh my god!”
Jonathan also told Sophie he was happy to see her character, Sansa Stark, make it to the end of Game Of Thrones, telling her: “I’m so happy for your ending, oh my god. I was so relieved!”
In between (many) hugs, Sophie also declared herself a Queer Eye devotee, before introducing the hairstylist to her husband, Joe Jonas.
Sophie was at the VMAs to support Joe, who performed alongside his fellow Jonas Brothers and picked up the award for Best Pop Video for their comeback effort, Sucker.
Meanwhile, Jonathan presented the award for Video For Good, which went to Taylor Swift’s You Need To Calm Down, in which he and his Queer Eye co-stars are among the celebrity cameos.
Before finding fame as a member of the new Fab Five last year, Jonathan hosted a web series recapping each episode of Game Of Thrones, imaginatively titled Gay Of Thrones.
