Love Island’s Anton Danyluk faced a grilling over his so-called feud with Molly-Mae Hague during Sunday night’s reunion special.
Last week, Anton made headlines when it was discovered he had already unfollowed his fellow Islander on Instagram, later admitting they “never got on” in the villa.
However, his actions came back to bite him when host Caroline Flack quizzed him about it during the live ITV2 special.
Reiterating his claims, Anton replied: “Molly and I never even spoke in the villa. We never had chats. I have nothing against you but we never saw eye to eye.”
Brought into the interview, Molly-Mae replied: “I thought we were friends.”
Anton continued to dig himself into a hole as he claimed it was his management who had originally followed Molly-Mae while they were in the villa.
“I never chose to follow Molly,” he said.
When Caroline asked: “Are you going to refollow her?” he responded: “No. I’m not.”
Ouch.
Molly-Mae was later asked about Anton’s comments during an interview with her and boyfriend Tommy Fury, who she finished in second place during last week’s final.
She insisted it had “not bothered” her but that she was surprised as she considered Anton “a friend”.
However, she said she held “no bad blood” over Anton’s choice to unfollow her.
The Reunion show did fail to address the comments Anton’s partner Belle Hassan had previously made about Molly-Mae, though.
Belle branded the 20-year-old social media influencer “two-faced” after being voted off the Island last month.
