Woodstock 50th Anniversary Festival Cancelled

A music festival marking 50 years since Woodstock has officially been cancelled, with organisers blaming a series of “unforeseen setbacks”. The three-day festival had been planned for August, half a century after the original “3 days of peace and music” event. With an audience over 400,000 strong, Woodstock’s performers included Jimi Hendrix, The Who and Janis Joplin, and is remembered as one of the most iconic moments of rock history.
