Cameron Boyce Dead: Disney Star’s Cause Of Death ‘Under Further Investigation’

Cameron Boyce’s cause of death will require “further investigation”, a coroner has said.

The 20-year-old Disney Channel actor died after being found unconscious at his home in North Hollywood on Saturday and the sad news sparked an outpouring of condolences from fans. 

Issuing a statement to announce the news, Cameron’s family said he had suffered a seizure as a result of “an ongoing medical condition”.

A post-mortem was performed then on Monday and a cause of death will be determined following further investigation, the Los Angeles County Department Of Medical Examiner-Coroner said.

Cameron’s career began at a young age, and he is best known for appearing in the TV show Jessie and TV movie series Descendants. His other credits include the film Grown Ups and its sequel. 

In their statement, his family said: “The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him.

“We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother.”

A Disney Channel representative added: “He was an incredibly talented performer, a remarkably caring and thoughtful person and, above all else, he was a loving and dedicated son, brother, grandson and friend.

“We offer our deepest condolences to his family, cast mates and colleagues and join his many millions of fans in grieving his untimely passing. He will be dearly missed.”

The spokesperson also praised Cameron’s humanitarian work, as he previously dedicated himself to raising money for the Thirst Project, which works to provide clean drinking water to people in communities where it is not readily available.
