What Is Amazon Prime Day?
In short, a chance to make some serious savings. It’s a extended period of deals and discounts on Amazon across electrical, homeware, beauty, fashion and tech.
It’s the perfect opportunity to buy those bits you’ve been putting off, such as a vacuum cleaner (boring), or to simply treat yourself to a new pair of headphones.
The deals are only available to Amazon Prime members, but if you’re not fussed about paying the yearly subscription fee of £79, you can sign up for a free 30-day trial and still access the sales. Just remember to cancel your membership before the 30 days are up.
When Is Amazon Prime Day?
This year’s event will run for 48 hours on 15 and 16 July, making it the longest to date – it also technically makes it Prime Day(s), but we won’t get into that.
The Best Amazon Prime Deals
Last year’s bestsellers in the UK included the Echo Dot, Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote, the Bosch Cordless Drill and Finish Dishwasher Tablets – each to their own I suppose.
In the lead up to this year’s event, Amazon has teased some early offers to take advantage of, including an additional 20% off outdoor furniture, fashion and Amazon brands.
Some things that have caught our eye already include the Memory Foam Neck Pillow, £10.99, which will be great for any flights you’ve got planned over the summer, and this Haven Pillar Bookshelf, £44.90, that will help you Marie Kondo your home.
