Holly Willoughby has revealed she has a surprising connection to dumped Love Island contestant Tom Walker.
The This Morning presenter admitted she has known the 29-year-old model since he was a child, after working with his father on kids TV.
The pair were reunited on the ITV daytime show on Monday, as Tom was interviewed by Holly and co-host Phillip Schofield about his time in the villa.
Revealing their history, Holly said: “You were about 12 years old and I was doing Saturday morning Ministry of Mayhem and your dad was our director at the time.
“I remember your dad and him bringing the boys in.”
Tom added: “We’d come in every week and watch you do your thing. It was really good.”
Holly said: “You’ll have to find the picture and put it out on social media. It’s lovely to see you again.”
Of course, this isn’t the only famous connection this year’s Love Islanders have.
Curtis Pritchard is the brother of Strictly Come Dancing pro AJ, Tommy Fury is the brother of boxer Tyson, while new arrival Belle’s dad Tamer Hassan had a role in Game Of Thrones.
During his This Morning interview, Tom also addressed the now-infamous bust-up he had with Maura Higgins just before they were due to go into the Hideaway.
Beforehand, Tom had turned to the lads and said: “It will be interesting to see if she’s all mouth or not,” much to Maura’s disgust.
When asked by Phil if he though Maura had “overreacted for effect”, Tom replied: “Possibly, possibly, yeah.
“If I’d have said it to her I think she would’ve reacted slightly differently, it was saying it to the boys that got her riled up.
“I don’t think I was Maura’s perfect guy either. We were the best options for each other at the time.”
After leaving the villa, Tom had admitted his regret over his comments, calling it an “out of character remark”.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2, while This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
