Eliminated Love Island star Elma Pazar has come clean over lying about her age in the villa.
The eyelash technician had a short-lived time in the villa earlier this month, entering alongside Maura Higgins as a late bombshell arrival, but was sent packing after just six days.
Elma has now revealed that she wasn’t exactly honest with her fellow contestants, knocking three years off her actual age when she spoke to them.
“I lied about my age on Love Island. I tell everyone I’m 23, it’s a real issue,” she revealed, during an interview on the Love Island Morning After podcast.
“I’m 26 but now everyone knows it because [the show] said they couldn’t lie for me.”
Shortly after making her arrival in the Love Island villa, Elma paired up with Anton Danyluk, though when the public were asked to vote for the couples with the most chemistry, they were in the bottom two, alongside Lucie Donlan and Joe Garratt.
In one of the series’ first twists, one person from each of these pairs was then shown the door, with Elma leaving the villa alongside Joe.
Joe’s exit came after his behaviour towards Lucie came under scrutiny, prompting criticism from viewers as well as organisations like Women’s Aid.
Sticking up for himself after he left the villa, Joe maintained: “I didn’t manipulate or abuse [Lucie]… I always had Lucie’s best interests at heart and I promise you I would do everything and anything to help her because she had a hard time in there and didn’t get on with the girls.
“I was trying to help her and make her experience as amazing as possible. I thought I did right.”
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
