Love Island fans have shared their thoughts on new girl Maura Higgins, with some stating they feel “uncomfortable” about scenes featuring the Irish 28-year-old and Tommy Fury.
Friday’s show saw Maura continue fighting for Tommy’s affections and making no secret of the fact she has feelings for the boxer.
When the Islanders were going to bed, Tommy initially decided to sleep on the sofa and Maura did her best to convince him to join her in the bedroom.
While talking to Tommy in the living room, she leaned over and tried to kiss him, planting her lips on his cheek as he turned away.
Her behaviour did not go down well with viewers:
Others also claimed her antics would not be tolerated if the duo’s genders were different:
HuffPost UK has contacted a show spokesperson for any comment on the situation.
After spurning Maura’s advances, Tommy returned to the bedroom to sleep next to Molly-Mae, who he is officially coupled up with.
The two women both have feelings for the boxer and Thursday’s show resulted in numerous showdowns, when Tommy told Molly-Mae he wanted to get to know Maura too.
Love Island does not air tonight (Saturday 15 June) but it’ll back on Sunday and the latest teaser revealed Molly-Mae will confront her love rival.
